Monday Night Football Preview: Start Em’, Sit Em’ (Fantasy Football 2020)

by Angel Maldonado

A devastating Week 2 has left plenty of owners looking for miracles in order to win their matchup. This week’s Monday Night Football matchup features some fantasy studs and we’re here to preview the matchup between the Oakland Las Vegas Raiders and New Orleans Saints.

What To Expect From the Saints

The Saints are looking to keep building momentum after a huge Week 1 win over Tom Brady and the Buccaneers. It won’t be easy though. They’re expected to be without last season’s record-setting receiver Michael Thomas. Look for them to rely on Alvin Kamara to be the beneficiary of some of those targets as well as Jared Cook and Emmanuel Sanders. In addition, expect the Saints to focus on establishing the run. Kamara struggled to get going on the ground last week and, facing a run defense that allowed 4.2 TPC to Christian McCaffrey last week, succeed in getting Kamara going in the run game.

What To Expect From the Raiders

Josh Jacobs.

I could finish this section right there as the Raiders will only go as far as Jacobs takes them in tonight’s matchup. The Saints secondary is led by Marshon Lattimore, who held Mike Evans to one catch last week (albeit a touchdown). I expect Ruggs to be shut down by this secondary. Bryan Edwards is a sleeper, but I don’t expect much from him either. This game will be dictated by the run game for both teams.

Fantasy Star of the Game

I expect Alvin Kamara to finish as a top-5 back this week as he decimates the Raiders both in the run game and in the passing game.

Start Em’
