Monday Night Football Preview: Week 3

Patrick Mahomes. Lamar Jackson. Tyreeek Hill. Marquise Brown. Travis Kelce. Mark Andrews.

It doesn’t get much bigger than this as the Baltimore Ravens take on the Kansas City Chiefs in what has to be the most anticipated Monday Night clash since the historic Rams-Chiefs game back in 2018. Let’s dive right in.

What To Expect From Baltimore

The Baltimore Ravens are, shockingly I know, one of the best running teams in the NFL. However, in a stark difference from last season, Mark Ingram has not been a bell-cow back for the Ravens. Neither has J.K Dobbins. Instead, it has resembled a RBBC approach, with Gus Edwards, J.K Dobbins, and Mark Ingram all receiving meaningful touches. I don’t expect that trend to change today so the question is: who will get the most points? My money would be on Dobbins, but I expect the Ravens to attack the Chiefs through the air, primarily with TE Mark Andrews. The Chiefs are allowing 13.1 PPG to Tight Ends through the first two weeks of the season and he is in line for a fantastic performance tonight.

What To Expect From Kansas City

Offense. Lots and lots of offense. I mean, what else could you expect?

Sure, the Ravens have an incredible defense once again. But do you really think Patrick Mahomes is going to struggle two weeks in a row? What about on National Television?Probably not, and Tyreek Hill is due for a monster performance. I’m wary of CEH against this stout defensive front, but otherwise, all KC starters are surefire starts in what should be an explosive matchup.

Fantasy Star of the Game

It’s a toss-up between Tyreek Hill and Mark Andrews. Primetime is when the best players perform and I expect Hill to have an explosive, 50+ yard touchdown tonight. An extremely close second is Mark Andrews, who has a chance to bounce back from a weak performance in Week 2.

P.S. I’m facing Tyreek Hill in my home league, so I am absolutely trying to jinx it.

Monkey Knife Fight Pick of the Day

Tonight, I’m playing MKF’s More or Less Matchup. I’m taking the OVER on Lamar Jackson’s 64.5 Rushing Yards and the UNDER on Travis Kelce 6.5 receptions.
