Denver Broncos vs. New England Patriots
The Broncos will be facing a Patriots team with Cam Newton likely under-center, which will make New England’s ground game 10X more dangerous. Even with Drew Lock returning, have low hopes for any Broncos playmakers you may be relying on. Start your Patriots running backs and Julian Edelman without hesitation.
Fantasy Player of the Game: Damien Harris
Houston Texans vs. Tennessee Titans
This should be a close game, as division rivals tend to push each other to the limit when they lock horns. I like the matchups on both sides of the ball and see no glaring “sits” in this one.
Fantasy Player of the Game: Derrick Henry
Cleveland Browns vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
This game — like HOU/TEN — will be rather grueling, as it features two division rivals. I expect this game to be extremely reliant on defense, which leads me to believe that Pittsburgh will emerge victorious. I’d consider sitting any Cleveland players on my rosters for this one.
Fantasy Player of the Game: WR JuJu Smith-Schuster
Baltimore Ravens vs. Philadelphia Eagles
If you thought Carson Wentz was bad before, check his stats after this game. Not the day to have an Eagles-heavy build, I’ll tell you that.
Fantasy Player of the Game: WR Marquise Brown
Washington Football Team vs. New York Giants
Oh, god.
Fantasy Player of the Game: Washington Defense (yeah, it’s that bad)
Atlanta Falcons vs. Minnesota Vikings (3CoSports Game of the Week)
If there’s a game with shootout potential, it’s this one. Start all your Vikings and Falcons.
Fantasy Player of the Game: Adam Thielen
Detroit Lions vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
Finally, a game the Lions can’t possibly mess up. Right? In this battle of bad defenses, fire away with your Lions and Jaguars players.
Fantasy Player of the Game: James Robinson
Cincinnati Bengals vs. Indianapolis Colts
This should be a good week for each team’s running backs, while the passing game for both teams will be pretty good as well. It’s one of those “start em’ if you got em'” type of deals.
Fantasy Player of the Game: Jonathan Taylor
Chicago Bears vs. Carolina Panthers
It’s a good week to have David Montgomery. The Panthers defense is prone to giving up big performances by running backs. Carolina’s offense may be slowed in this one, but don’t count out a Mike Davis revenge game either (he was cut by the Bears last season, in case you forgot).
Fantasy Player of the Game: David Montgomery
New York Jets vs. Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins offense looks awful nice in this matchup. The Jets offense looks…uh…
Fantasy Player of the Game: RB Myles Gaskin
Green Bay Packers vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
This game will be much less exciting than it sounds like it would be. The Bucs will need to run the ball if they want to win, so expect this to be a battle of the Jones’s (Aaron and Ronald) rather than a battle of the GOATs (Aaron and Tom).
Fantasy Player of the Game: WR Davante Adams
Los Angeles Rams vs. San Francisco 49ers
So many great players in this one, although I like the Rams odds following SF’s huge loss to the lowly Dolphins last week. Although I do think George Kittle will be a problem for this defense.
Fantasy Player of the Game: TE George Kittle
