Fantasy Football 2020: Dallas Cowboys vs Arizona Cardinals MNF Preview

The Arizona Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys are set to face off in what should be an exciting Monday Night Football matchup. Unfortunately, the NFL was robbed of a primetime Dak Prescott vs Kyler Murray encounter (2021 can’t get here soon enough) so it’ll be Andy Dalton under center for the Cowboys tonight. There’s plenty of fantasy implications in this one so let’s see what’s in store for tonight.

What To Expect From Dallas

The first game of the Dalton era.

The passing game didn’t skip a beat after the unfortunate Prescott injury as Dalton went 9/11 with 111 passing yards in the losing effort. Still, I expect the Cowboys to mask some of Dalton’s weaknesses by playing through Zeke against an unimpressive defense against the run.  The offense will take a hit without Dak Prescott, but it should still be a high-powered machine thanks to the likes of CeeDee Lamb, Amari Cooper, and Michael Gallup.

What To Expect From Arizona

Kyler Murray, Deandre Hopkins… and Chase Edmonds.

That’s right, I think Chase Edmonds outscores the disappointing Kenyan Drake tonight. Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins should feat against this weak secondary so if you gave either of them on your team, you’ll probably end up feeling great. If you have Kenyan Drake, I suggest you be prepared for close to a 50-50 split. Edmonds is clearly the superior pass-catching back and it’s only a matter of time before he’s getting the lion’s share of touches.

Fantasy Player of the Game

There is nobody that can cover DeAndre Hopkins on the Cowboys. He should pop off.
