3 Last Second Deep Waiver Wire Sleepers, Week 11 Reaction, And A Thank You

by Angel Maldonado Tejada

From the same guy that told you to go get Jamycal Hasty, Gus Edwards, Chase Claypool, and Jeff Smith, here are 3 deep sleepers to target this week as we gear up for the fantasy playoffs.

Damiere Byrd

Newton has weapons! Not really, but he seems to have started to develop a rapport with his teammates. I’m starting to think Newton really is the future in New England. Belichick never seemed to care about winning this season; he practically asked his players to leave if they had any concern regarding Covid. We give him flack for his emotionless attitude towards the press, but maybe he and Brady were never going to finish their careers together because they have different goals at the moment yet both want to be the GOAT. Hmm. Anyways, Byrd has the speed to make plays and Newton has nobody else besides Meyers it looks like. Byrd is worth a bench stash.

Anthony MacFarland Jr.

This shouldn’t cost much and has a league-winning upside. Covid is ravaging teams across the league right now and I don’t expect it to get much better. If you have Conner, handcuff him. If you have extra bench spots, use them on handcuffs for your players and other peoples’ players. If I had, I might have Mike Davis right now in the ONLY league I have CMac in. Of course, I have him in the “experts” league.

Samaje Perine

I really don’t feel great about this. The last time I had Perine on a team, I was pretty sure I was going to win the league. Then he entered my lineup. Spoiler: I didn’t win my league. But, he is a running back on a team with no clear bellcow. I’m a longtime Bernard stan—I think that’s why I loved it when Bradley said Mixon would disappoint this year—but Perine has low-end flex potential on a sixth seed playoff team. So if you’re desperate… he’s probably out there.

Week 11 Reaction

  • Tom Brady is a sore loser. That’s ok. You can hate him all you want, but the man won 6 Super Bowls. As a New England fan, if him being a sore loser is what it took to witness 3 of the greatest Super Bowl wins of all time, then I want to be a sore loser too.
  • Seeing CeeDee Lamb do “ok” even with Andy Dalton under-center is extremely exciting. I can’t wait to see him thrive with Prescott next season.
  • Odell Beckham Jr. should go to the Packers. More on that soon. If you want to know why contact @mattressboomin on Twitter. He can give you a preview.
  • To the guy who gave Bradley crap for a joking Week 1 victory lap regarding Mixon… just remember we aren’t experts 😜

Final Thoughts

This was a really fun week of NFL action and it feels good to be writing like this again. Special thanks to Luke Sawhook, our new social media guru who has liberated me from that burden and allowed me to write like me again. He also does the social media for DynastyNerds in case you were wondering why both pages are so excellent. Thanks to @AngryHim_HerSports for helping me create a plan of action and figuring out what to do. I appreciate it so much guys, thank you!

Of course, thanks to my partner Alex for picking up the slack this week while I got myself together.  He and I work together for a reason… we’re friends. That’s a lot more important than people realize. I trust him, he trusts me. We don’t always agree, but that’s the fun part.

There are a LOT more people to thank, but that’s all for now. Like Luke said, Unnus Annus.

P.S. I’m petty. It’s all love @RabiesBruin, I was legitimately just having fun that night and I’m just having some fun right now. Happy Thanksgiving to you!
