Stacking DFS and Knife Fighting

By Chris Robin  @DetroitBeastie

Better late than never right? That’s how the saying goes. Popping up in Week 13 to drop an NFL daily fantasy stacks article on 3CoSports and their website is the definition of fashionably late, isn’t it?

If you’re in the fantasy football community then you’re no stranger to 3CoSports. I on the other hand, safe to say I am. I’ve always been open and honest with all of you and that will never change. Most fantasy sports articles are straight forward. In and out. They give you what you want and it’s done. Me on the other hand, I’d like to think there’s a connection. We’ve built a relationship. Predicated on trust and understanding.

So when I decide to take on more writing work with other websites I’m careful where I go and who I choose to interact with. Writing has always come easy to me. Getting my thoughts and ideas down on paper as well. I’m extremely grateful for that and I’m thankful for every chance I get.

In terms of DFS I cannot stress the importance of multiplying value! You’ll scroll down and think I’m crazy. Or maybe you’ll call me an idiot! Either one fine! Just know all sports gambling comes with risk! Cool. Calculated. Risk. The more you play the more you pick up on it.

Enough with the corniness! Here are several stacks I’m into for NFL WK13!

Chicago Bears @ Detroit Lions

Mitchell Trubisky CHI vs. DET (27th)(FD-$6,900)(DK-$5,400)

Mitch absolutely torches the Lions! In his career he’s played the Lions six times. Going 4-2 with 1,601 passing yards and a 67.49 completion total. His last four games vs. Detroit he’s thrown THREE touchdowns in each one! That’s TWELVE total TD passes! On average, he throws for about 266 yards a game.

David Montgomery CHI vs. DET (32nd)(FD-$6,200)(DK-$5,500)

The Detroit Lions are 32nd overall vs. opposing RB’s. As you know that’s awful. Dead last. In week 12 Montgomery only received eleven carries yet he put up 101 yards. He also caught five of six targets for 40yds and a TD. A full blown Chicago Bears stack is picking up steam. You’d be wise to hop on board!

Darnell Mooney CHI vs. DET (24th)(FD-$5,100)(DK-$3,400)

Bears fifth-round pick WR Darnell Mooney on track be draft gem - Chicago Sun-Times

In dynasty circles Mooney gets no love. In DFS formats he’s tossed aside too. Yet in week 12 he saw nine targets! Only second to top dog Allen Robinson. On Sunday at home if you could promise me Mooney sees even seven targets against the lowly 24th overall pass defense I’d promise you 60 yards and a TD. At the price on both sites I’m having a hard time NOT adding him on my rosters!

New York Jets vs. Las Vegas Raiders

Sam Darnold NYJ vs. LV (24th)(FD-$6,500)(DK-$5,000)

Admittedly crazy I’m still running with it! Want to get wild? Stacking a few Jets in the right contests can yield some leverage in other areas of your DFS lines this weekend. Sam, at his price, allows you to add the Dalvin Cooks of the world in on your lines. Or even a stud WR like Green Bay’s Davante Adams. That the type of leverage gained. Lets say Sam can put up 19.5 points on Fanduel then that’s 3X his value. Easy to do in a match-up against Vegas who gives up the 11th most fantasy points to opposing QB’s!

Breshad Perriman NYJ vs. LV (18th)(FD-$5,900)(DK-$3,900)

Breshad Perriman is Jets Wire's Week 9 Player of the game vs. Patriots

I cannot stress the idea of multiplying value when it comes to these cheaper offensive skill position players. Perriman has accumulated 234 yards and three touchdowns his last three games. Stack him with Sam Darnold and let the good times roll! Breshad has limited experience playing the Raiders but I’m not letting that stop me!

Denzel Mims NYJ vs. LV (18th)(FD-$5,500)(DK-$4,100)

Jets' Denzel Mims progressing in injury-hampered rookie season

To help put your mind at ease, Denzel caught 50% of his targets in week 12. On Sunday I’m going to include the rookie WR! Mims tied fellow WR Perriman in targets and receptions Sunday. Mims has also topped 60+ reception yards his last three games. I just have this feeling in my chest he catches his first NFL touchdown on Sunday.

Monkey Knife Fight Props

Let’s turn our attention to some player prop betting! I’ve heard the website Monkey Knife Fight is a sponsor of 3CoSports! What better way to introduce myself to both sites than with some personal favorites in week 13!

New Orleans Saints @ Atlanta Falcons

Taysom Hill over or under 181.5 passing yards?

I’m taking the OVER here for Hill. The Atlanta Falcons are 31st overall against opposing QB’s. Julio Jones hasn’t practiced all week and will more then likely not be playing, again. The Saints have championship aspirations. While the Falcons well, just looking to win five games. I currently have Taysom Hill projected around 20 completions and 220 yards.

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Minnesota Vikings

Jaguars sticking with Mike Glennon even though Gardner Minshew is healthy – The Denver Post

Mike Glennon over or under 239.5 passing yards?

I’m better the UNDER here all day. Unless I’m out of it here who in their right mind who bet the over here. Mike Glennon is a back up QB for a reason. He’s a backup QB for a reason. I’m betting the farm Mike sinks back into that awful QB territory in week 13! If DJ Chark and Chris Conley sit again I honestly cant think of an easier cover.

New York Giants @ Seattle Seahawks

Can Colt McCoy do enough to get the NY Giants a victory this Sunday?

Colt McCoy over or under 203.5 yards?

At first glance I bet you said to yourself under! Way under! That’s ok! I did the same thing. Yet in this case I’m betting the OVER. Upon closer inspection you’ll see that Seattle is 32nd overall against opposing QB’s. Colt will have a full compliment of offensive weapons at his disposal. My personal projections for Colt on Sunday are as follows, 25 completions and 275 passing yards.

Chicago Bears vs. Detroit Lions

Mitchell Trubisky over or under 246.5 passing yards?

I’ve been telling anyone who will listen to me about Mitch’s power over the Detroit Lions! His last four games against Detroit he’s tossed TWELVE touchdowns and 1,601 total yards in six games. Meaning he averages 266 yards a game. This is a no-brainer! Take the OVER with Mitch here!

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Denver Broncos

Patrick Mahomes over or under 325.5 yards?

I’ll admit projecting a QB over 300 passing yards is wild. Taking it a step further and projecting 325+ yards is down right insane! Then you look at what QB you’re projecting and it makes sense. Even still I can’t do it! I’m taking the UNDER with Pat at home here. Denver travels to Arrowhead 4-7 and getting 14 points. This game is going to go exactly how you think it’s going to go. Although, I’m expecting KC to be up big by halftime. Meaning lots and lots of RB work in the second half. In turn, Pat won’t have to do much in this. His passing yard total will be close but not over! Promise you!
